Germany – Car-Ramming Attack in Mannheim Leaves Two Dead

A vehicle ploughed into a crowd in the southwestern German city of Mannheim, killing two people and seriously injuring several others.

The suspected driver has been arrested, and local police have launched an investigation.

The attack occurred today (Monday) in Mannheim’s city center. Following the incident, most streets in the area were closed.

Two weeks ago, at least 28 people were injured in a similar car-ramming attack in Munich during a demonstration urging city employees to strike for higher wages.

The perpetrator of that attack was a 24-year-old Afghan asylum seeker with a history of arrests for theft and drug trafficking. German police confirmed that he was already known to authorities for these offenses.

Russia – Synagogue Attack Prevented, Terrorist Killed in Shootout

A terrorist planning to bomb a synagogue and a metro station in Moscow was killed in a shootout, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced today (Monday).

“The terrorist intended to detonate homemade explosive devices at a Jewish religious institution and a metro station,” an FSB spokeswoman stated.

Authorities identified him as a Russian citizen from Central Asia, linked to an international terrorist organization banned in Russia. According to officials, he planned to flee to Afghanistan and join the organization after carrying out the attacks.

“When arrested, the suspect resisted and was ultimately neutralized by return fire,” the FSB reported.

Investigators found weapons, chemicals, and components for assembling explosive devices at his residence. Reports indicate that he had sworn allegiance to the terrorist group, scouted the target locations, and gathered bomb-making materials.

Israel – Stabbing Attack in Haifa Leaves One Dead, Four Injured

A stabbing attack at Haifa’s central bus station left one person dead and four others seriously or moderately injured.

The attacker, a 20-year-old Israeli citizen from Shfaram with German citizenship, was shot and neutralized by a mall security guard.

Authorities confirmed that the assailant was eliminated through the coordinated efforts of civilians and police. Security forces have set up checkpoints and are conducting scans to ensure he acted alone.
