This model has been implemented in Israel – a country that has been in a state of war for 76 years, where the threat of attack is practically daily. Israel emphasizes building small shelters directly next to homes. It is mandatory to construct a shelter for every building in Israel. The results are remarkable: despite numerous mass rocket and drone attacks, there have been very few casualties among civilians. A recent example was the Iranian attack, where approximately 300 missiles and drones were intercepted by the anti-aircraft defense system. Falling debris did not cause harm to people.

Protection against missile and bomb attacks
In the event of a missile or bomb attack, we should get to the shelter as quickly as possible. All media, phone alerts, and the modulated sound of air raid sirens immediately inform us about missile launches or approaching aircrafts. From the moment we hear the sound of the sirens, we may have several dozen seconds to get to the shelter. We should stay in the shelter until the alarm is canceled – most often, air raid alarms last about one hour, usually from 30 minutes to 2 hours. The alarm is canceled by a continuous sound of air raid sirens, lasting 3 minutes.
